Hello and I’m glad you’re here!

I’m Sarah Sumpter, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I have practiced counseling in the secondary school setting for over 15 years now, and am now excited to expand to private practice! I specialize in working with individuals across the lifespan and families with issues such as:

new year, new PRACTICE!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I hope everyone is staying warm and cozy as about 6″ of snow has blanketed most of North Texas!

I just wanted to let anyone know who stumbles across this page that I am now part of the Lifeworks Counseling Center team! This is an awesome group practice with knowledgeable and compassionate providers who specialize in every kind of therapy you could imagine. I will still be seeing tweens, teens, and folks who are experiencing major changes in life, processing family issues, etc. etc. One of my intentions in 2025 is to become certified as a play therapist and extensively EMDR trained. These therapy modalities are awesome and scientifically proven to enhance positive outcomes in people’s lives. The best part of Lifeworks is that we accept all major insurances in Texas and most EAP’s! Free or low-cost therapy for the win!! Another HUGE deal is that we are located in the gorgeous Colonnade Offices at 15305 Dallas Pkwy, suite 1200. I am able to see clients in-person Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and have multiple virtual appointment times available throughout the week!
